WHAT IS A SHELL           
It is an interface between user and kernel Services provided by shell: It interprets all the commands to the kernel The kernel after processing the commands gives back to the shell

WHAT IS KERNAL
A set of functions that makes up the heart of an operating system It is used to provide an application interface between programs and physical devices Services provided by kernel are: Controls execution of processing Scheduling process fairly for execution on the CPU Allocating memory for an executing process
